What do I have to sacrifice to Lord?
Should I be sage - and I would give my word,
My offer would be sheep - should I be herder...
My heart is all I have. To give it I'm ready.
Christine Rossetti (1830-1894)
The sounds of music can evoke all possible images from the very depth of human hearts and souls - images of nature, people, favorite corners of the world, dear places. And it always seems that should a painting brush get into the inspired hand of the listener - and the soul of the melody itself could be painted upon the canvas! But the talent to splash the reflection of what one has heard or seen onto the painting is the gift of a true artist. And touching the canvas with the brush and with hands the artist creates the music.
It’s true that a good painting can be compared to music, to melody and the harmony of tints and colors on the canvas can be compared to the marvelous consonance of the instruments in orchestra - this comparison between music and painting exists according to the opinion of famous musicians and artists since the ancient times.
Chinese poet and artist Tin Nun says about painting skills: “You will masterfully paint a brunch if you hear the wind whistling through it”. If you manage this then the people watching your painting will hear the delightful melody of the depicted images.
The creations of Olga Nikitchik represent in this sense her special and very individual collection of tunes, accords, symphonies. Her own heart sings its song from her canvases. This song is about her dear motherland, about the original coloring of neighbor Oriental countries, about fragile dreams of youth, and light melancholy and bright easy joy of life. And her canvases, tinted soft and bright, spread the melody of her sparkling sensitive soul to the audience. And if art reflects the essence of life itself then Olga Nikitchik really managed to bring the song of her life onto her paintings. And this is the life of a beautiful woman, wife, hospitable and generous friend, anxious mother, thankful daughter, careful keeper and devoted admirer of the deed of her famous father - Honored artist of Russia Kim Petrovich Koval.
Now by own efforts she gained the high title of Honored artist of Russia. Now her own artist works travel all over the republic, national, regional and international exhibitions. Her pointings found their places in the houses of her friends and admirers all over the world.
And like a orchestra conductor musters the orchestra as well she masters the special symphony of her works with the help of the painting brush. And a sympathizing audience is thankfully taking in the music.
